Effective September 15, 2017, Massachusetts has adopted new Child Support Guidelines. The new Guidelines make sweeping changes in how child support and college payments are calculated in Massachusetts. Judges now have more leeway to decide child support on the special circumstances of each family. Attorneys have more room than before to advocate for non-standard child support awards.
